GitHub remove or disable access to the materials currently available at the following URL:

To clarify, because Microsoft is not the copyright owner of the works at issue, it is not
submitting a takedown notice pursuant to 17 U.S.C. § 512(c). Instead, as Gareth’s previous
email explained, Microsoft is requesting that GitHub remove or disable access to the code at the
above URL because it violates Microsoft’s rights under the anti-circumvention provisions of the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”). See generally 17 U.S.C. § 1201.
Specifically, this code violates Section 1201(a)(2)(A) of the DMCA in that it allows users
to circumvent a technological measure that effectively controls access to copyrighted works by
facilitating the unauthorized conversion of songs streamed via Xbox Music into DRM-free MP3s
that can be easily shared online. See id. § 1201(a)(2)(A). In addition, the webpage at the above
URL markets this code for the express purpose of such circumvention in violation of
Section 1201(a)(2)(C), advertising it as a “Free music downloader powered by Xbox Music, VK
and Soundcloud. (Windows Phone/PC 8.1).” See id. § 1201(a)(2)(C). By continuing to make
this material available to users, GitHub is subject to the remedies provided in 17 U.S.C. § 1203.
In response to your question about the resulting injury to Microsoft, Xbox Music is a
commercial music streaming service offered by Microsoft on Windows 8, Xbox, iOS, Android,
and over the web. (For further information, please see http://www.xbox.com/music.) As part of
Microsoft’s agreements with the copyright owners of the songs included in the service, Microsoft
has both authorization from and an obligation to those copyright owners to control access to their GitHub
works by employing an effective DRM system. Microsoft is thus injured by the code currently
available on GitHub in that it jeopardizes Microsoft’s ability to honor its commitments to its
Xbox Music partners and more generally threatens Microsoft’s significant investment in the
Xbox Music service.
Finally, please note that the notice requirements set out in Section 512(c)(3) of the
DMCA are not applicable to notifications regarding violations of Section 1201. Nonetheless, in
the interests of securing GitHub’s prompt action, I confirm upon penalty of perjury that the

This was likely done in the old version of the desktop client, and caused the cloned repository to be become
publicly visible i.e. it was no longer treated as a private repository.

necessary code changes were made.
However, during it's public period the repository was cloned by another Github user, and so remains in the

I am writing you to request the take down of some materials that are posted on Github. These materials were to be shared between only the customer (Verizon Wireless) and Juniper Networks. Three years ago the person that ran the organization left Juniper Networks and did not correctly hand over the organization to the next person in charge. This left the proprietary information exposed in several repositories that causes risk to the customer (Verizon Wireless) by not removing the material. It has recently been noticed that this leaked information may have lead to potential attacks on the Customer's infrastructure. We are looking to remove these two repositories or at least flip them to be private to stop the leakage of this information. The customer has asked us to step in to get this removed before they look to take further legal action against Github or Juniper Networks.
In summary two repositories from three years ago had proprietary information accidentally placed as a public repository. The repositories are belonging to a defect Github organization for which we have no access to be able to flip the repositories to be private. The contained information has network architecture and network functions specified within it that causes security risks to the customer and may cause network outages or potential security breaches within this network. I was the original author ([private]) of the works (please check git history) and wish to remove this information on behalf of the customers request. I would like a response within once business day to my request. There hasn't been a counterclaim. It's come to our attention that the same organization, and member of the organization, has again made public on GitHub intellectual property that is both owned by Veracity Media, and that neither the organization (Rainforest Action Network <https://github.com/RainforestActionNetwork> nor the user <https://github.com/msamricth>) has the right to make public.

The app was first published on iTunes, on June 26th 2010 and entered Google Play on November 3rd 2011.

I've been developing a project with sources open on Github without
specifying any license. That means, according to explainations given at

that regular copyright laws apply to all works created, and the site
visitors are allowed to view the source and fork the repository.
Before November, 7 the source code used to be widely avaliable in a
repository at https://github.com/max-mtg/PoeHud. On the named day I decided
that I no longer want the sources be open and deleted the original
repository, then created a new one at the same URL. The history of
development can still be tracked in forks that belong to other users, for
example the most up-to-date one at
https://github.com/TomTer/PoeHud-Input/network.
The very project is based on work of another person, known as Evozer at
www.ownedcore.com. He does not have copyright claims towards me, since it
was him who advised to use my project instead of his one (

In order to remedy the infringement the repositories in question have to be
deleted. Alternativelly, Sirais should start development of their project
from the point matching the commit
86cc7158ca5220631754e8ada743a64dcfc689b9, that contains only the code
written by Evozer. They could develop the same features, but with their own
efforts, not by copying others work. The GPL v3 license also has to be
removed.
The two forks listed above have to make the same changes or be deleted.
